In late September I moved to Bath to begin the MSc Business and Community programme at the University of Bath. Having worked in India for a year through VSO until July 2011, last week I attended a VSO RV Weekend at VSO's training centre Harborne Hall, Birmingham. At the SIAO 2008 (International Arts and Crafts Trade Fair) in Ouagadoudou, Burkina Faso, an organisation called TV Wagues (TV 'Come and See' in More - local language) made several short films on different themes. I was interviewed for one of their reports on ICT and arts and crafts - the use of websites to promote and sell African products.

The cotton is now certified organic - which means a significant reduction of pesticide use in the region, and fair trade - which means producers receive a fair price and have acceptable working conditions.
