Based on feedback given by Swechha supporters in an online communications survey I carried out recently, in which people stated that they want to hear from the organisation more regularly, I have initiated e-newsletters to be sent out monthly. They will offer short updates on programme activities, events coming up and volunteering opportunities. I discovered an e-marketing provider called Vertical Response which offers 10,000 free emails a month for non profits - perfect for Swechha as e-newsletter services usually have monthly fees. The service provider offers tools for creating e-newsletters using templates, and subscriber list management. People can subscribe on www.swechha.in and can unsubscribe from the list when they want. The first edition will be emailed out on 1st April 2011.
