The West African Mobilisation Forum, organised by Oxfam International and the Senegalese Social Forum, took place in Mbodiene, Senegal, from the 28th to the 30th April 2008.

I worked as a report writer (French and English) for the event, and was able to learn from participants' experiences about campaigning : in particular campaign strategies, alliance building and monitoring and evaluation of practices and results. Examples of campaigns on themes such as the EPAs (Economic Partnership Agreements) and Oxfam's 'Make Trade Fair' campaigns were presented and discussed. Follow-up activities for the event are being developed.
